Nantwich Mill Community Energy Company has brought together environmental and community champions.
It will:
l generate clean and green energy for the town
l provide competitively priced energy for local businesses
l create an opportunity for local people to invest in and potentially profit from clean local energy
l generate a stream of potential funds for future local community and environmental projects.

Water Power
The not-for-profit community company is busy delivering plans for two hydro electric installations on the river Weaver in the town - one on the weir on Mill Island and the other at the Beambridge Sluice on the western outskirts of the town close to Reaseheath College.
We will be using tried and tested technology (archimedes screws) which will generate power directly fed to local customers - providing Reaseheath College and new development off Welsh Row with their own green energy at a discount.
Solar Power
The other project will see solar generation at Reaseheath College and on roofs on small and medium enterprises around the town. The company will fund solar panels on business customers roofs and provide the energy to them at a discount.
Meet the team behind the project
People with a long standing commitment to community service and environmental improvement.
